A seriously good bit of kit!
✂️ I was lucky enough to pick this up and review it as part of the Amazon Vine programme :)
📖 This is a review for the TERRAMASTER F4-425 Pro 4-bay NAS with Intel N305, 8GB RAM and dual 5GbE.
⚠️ Just be aware that this is the diskless version, so you'll need to supply your own drives. It's also quite a serious bit of kit, so if you're only after somewhere to dump a few photos and documents, this is probably more NAS than you actually need.

What I liked:
✅ This is a seriously capable NAS. I've used NAS systems before and the N305 with 8GB RAM makes this feel much more like a small server than just a box for storing files. Everything feels pretty responsive, even when you're doing more than one thing at once.
✅ The four bays are a big selling point for me. You've got plenty of flexibility with how you want to set up your storage, whether that's RAID for redundancy or just making the most of a mixture of drives. The ability to expand the array later is handy too.
✅ The dual 5GbE ports are probably overkill for a lot of home users, but I really like having them available. If you've got the network infrastructure to take advantage of it, this has the potential to move some serious amounts of data rather than being held back by a standard gigabit connection.
✅ The three M.2 slots are another really nice addition. Being able to use NVMe storage for caching gives you another way of improving performance, and it makes the whole thing much more flexible than a basic four-bay NAS.
✅ TOS 7 has a lot going on. The global search, mobile access, Docker support and multimedia features mean this can do considerably more than just file storage. I particularly like the idea of being able to run containers and other services directly on the NAS rather than needing another machine running 24/7.
What I didn't like:
❌ It's expensive once
